How to Choose a Poker Card in 5-Card Draw

The game of poker isn't just limited to one type. There are a lot of variations to choose from. However, before you even try to play the many variations of the poker card game, it is best to play the original one. The 5-card draw.

A 5-card draw poker game game begins with all players placing an opening bet in the pot called the 'ante.' After everyone has put in their bets, the dealer then deals five cards face down to all players.

Since a player can only see the cards for him, he has no idea what the other players poker cards are. The game is exciting since no one knows what the other players have. The only way for a player to know what the poker cards of his opponents are is too look at body language. How their opponents move or react.

After being dealt their poker cards, the players now look at their cards without letting other players see.

After everyone has drawn their cards, the second round of betting begins. The player who started the betting during the first round also starts the second round betting.

After the second round of betting is over, if there are at least two players, the remaining players show their hands to see who wins the game.
